Today's edition of The Columbian re-introduces a name familiar in Portland political circles: Beau Breedlove.
Tucked away in the Vancouver, Wash., daily's vital statistics section is the news that Breedlove and his partner filed for a marriage license on Dec. 9.
Breedlove first achieved notoriety in 2007 when WW and The Oregonian reported then-City Commissioner Sam Adams had taken an unusual level of interest in Breedlove, beginning when Breedlove was a 17-year-old legislative intern in Salem.
Then in 2009, shortly after being inaugurated as Portland's mayor, Adams finally admitted to an earlier affair with Breedlove.
Breedlove, now 26, has filed for a marriage application in Clark County, Wash., where same-sex marriage is legal.
Breedlove, who runs a restaurant called Vie in South Waterfront, is marrying Gregory Michael Shaw, 47, also of Portland. Breedlove hasn't yet responded to WW's requests for comment.
