Why Should OHSU Get 200 Million Taxpayer Dollars?

Dr. Brian Druker and Dr. Joe Robertson

Last week, Oregon Health & Sciences University President Dr. Joe Robertson and Dr. Brian Druker, director of OHSU's Knight Cancer Institute, came to WW to explain why the legislature should give OHSU $200 million. That money would serve as part of the $500 million match the university needs to raise in the next two years in order to meet a $500 million pledge that Nike founder and chairman Phil Knight and his wife, Penny, made last September.

We ran portions of that interview here.  Yesterday, we ran a clip of Druker explaining what OHSU would do with the money. In the clip below, Robertson explains why he thinks this is a good investment for Oregonians.
