CRC Hearing Scheduled for Wednesday in Salem

House Speaker Tina Kotek (D-Portland) announced today there will in fact be a hearing on the Columbia River Crossing project during the current legislative session.

Members of both chambers have expressed reluctance to revisit the current $2.8 billion Oregon-only version of the CRC. Senate President Peter Courtney (D-Salem) has expressed strong reservations about moving forward without Washington state, whose Legislature refused last July to match Oregon's $450 million appropriation, thus ending what had been a bi-state partnership.
