Haute-N-Ready: Doritos Locos Tacos

#DoLoThroDo14 draws nigh

Welcome to Haute-N-Ready, in which John Locanthi, Willamette Week’s trencherman of leisure, tastes the hastily made, modestly priced food of the common man.

“What is the largest volume of Doritos Locos Tacos I can purchase?” The answer was the $12.99 GAMEDAY 12 PACK, which can be filled with a mixture of Nacho Cheese, Cool Ranch and Fiery Doritos Locos Tacos upon request.

But perhaps these were just the demented ravings of a man who’d spent an hour eating Doritos tacos in the back corner of a suburban Taco Bell. I polished off eight in the first 20 minutes. Then I spent the last 40 minutes slowly nibbling away at the ninth. Maybe I drank too much soda, maybe I should have only ordered the Cooler Ranch, or maybe I just wasn’t up to the #DoLoThroDo. But I’m sure you all can do better

Gather round a Taco Bell this Saturday and help give Portland a strong showing in #DoLoThroDo14.
