Bowling for Breath: Charity that's a knock-out

Would you rather pay $27 per hour to bowl or buy a $15 ticket that not only gets you three hours of bowling but throws in billiards and live music? How about if 100 percent of that ticket goes to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation? Yeah, I thought so. Slip into your bowlin' shoes and chalk up those pool cues: CFF has teamed up with Grand Central Restaurant and Bowling Lounge for Bowling for Breath, a knock-out night of fund-raising and fun. With live music from Now Is All You Have (NIAYH) and a raffle for prizes from the Thirsty Lion, Paul Mitchell and more. You too can help achieve the delightfully cheeseball (and sincerely admirable) goal of "mak[ing] CF stand for Cure Found."

Bowling for Breath is this Saturday, Aug. 8, from 1-4 pm. Grand Central Bowl, SE 8th Avenue & Morrison St., 236-2695. $15. All ages.
