It appears
Mayor Sam Adams will avoid being questioned under oath about his relationship with
Beau Breedlove—at least in the immediate future.
Multnomah County Judge Pro Tem Thomas Crist today tossed out a
lawsuit against the City of Portland brought by a former spokesman for Adams.
Crist wrote that the city was correct in arguing that
Wade Nkrumah had no grounds to sue the city for wrongful discharge, defamation and unpaid wages.
"It ain't over. That's what the appellate courts are good for," Nkrumah's lawyer, Michael Hanlon, tells
WW. "I'm going to recommend that we appeal."
