A Southeast Portland man is suing McDonald's Corp. after hitting a bone in a Chicken McNugget.
(The real news here: At least some of a Chicken McNugget's innards apparently are made of real meat that comes from actual, well, animals with bones.)
According to a lawsuit filed May 29 in Multnomah County Circuit Court, Gilbert Divine (love the name) bought a box of Chicken McNuggets on Southeast 82nd Avenue on Dec. 14, 2007, at 1:58 p.m.
As he bit into one of the nuggets, Divine hit a two-centimeter-long bone that broke his tooth, the lawsuit says, causing Divine to suffer "pain, embarrassment and disability."
The suit, filed by West Linn lawyer Bryan Dawson, seeks $9,500 for dental expenses plus $60,000 for pain and suffering. No one was immediately available for comment at McDonald's headquarters in Oak Brook, Ill.
