Fashion with a hint of panic

Who knew shielding half your face from the dreaded swine flu could be so fashionable? The pandemic of panic surrounding the mutated flu has created an entirely new must-have accessory—the face mask.

Companies like MedExSupply may have simply had too much time on their hands when its worker bees found rubber gloves and face masks in all colors of the rainbow (some featuring Disney characters) to sell on the New York-based company's site, but if you look at the what the crafty citizens of Mexico City are doing with their face masks, the custom mask idea may turn out to be nothing short of a gold mine. If the panic doesn't subside soon, bigger companies are bound to jump on the band wagon. I, for one, can't wait for the day I can buy a knock off Louis Vuitton face mask from under a bridge.
