First the worldwide bad press
for "bike rage," now this.
From George W. Bush's interview Wednesday with the Bangkok Post
and other Asian media outlets:
President Bush recalls that he mountain biked with the Chinese mountain biking team, the Olympic team. This time around ''I'm going to mountain bike again on the Olympic course, just to get some exercise.''
The president, who made it clear that he wants to separate diplomacy from sports says it's going to be a real pleasure to see the Olympics. ''I'm a sportsman. I love sports. As I mentioned, I'm looking forward _ I hope I'll be riding my mountain bike on the mountain bike trail. I'll probably be taking the easiest route, because the hills looked quite steep the last time I was there.''
Look out, Earl Blumenauer
