We'll try to have this be the last thing we write about The Oregonian today,
but there's an update to this letter
publisher Fred Stickel sent last month to employees.
Two sources say Stickel told the newsroom yesterday that the newspaper will need at least 100 people to take buyouts throughout the paper and that roughly 50 of those buyouts will have to come from the newsroom.
Still no details yet on what that buyout will look like or when it will be offered, but already there's some concern among staffers that this buyout offer won't be as generous as past offers,
specifically that it might not include health benefits for families.
