Fifteen Years Later, Ground Kontrol’s Restroom Floors Still Score High

The walls say “1 up” and “2 up” above the urinals and “READY!” as per the beginning of the game.

It turns out that the pixelated, early ’80s Pac-Man mazes translate perfectly to tile floors. The restrooms at Old Town barcade Ground Kontrol still wow customers 15 years after they were installed during a renovation, the manager says. Designed by Jessica Helgerson, the restroom floors are tiled as Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man mazes, with dots to eat and ghosts lurking. The walls say “1 up” and “2 up” above the urinals and “READY!” as per the beginning of the game.
