This eclectic staple of the ever-changing strip of Division Street is still serving great vegetarian and vegan fare. With its mix of Mexican, Middle Eastern and Thai options, there's always something for everyone. The mixed delicacies of the thali platter ($10) is a great intro to what the Kalga kitchen does best. Two Thai-based dishes, the green curry and the pad Thai (both $10), are extremely flavorful. The curry's carrots and onions are crisp, while the saucy is perfectly spicy. The pad Thai's tofu is perfectly fried, with a delicious hint of peanuts throughout the dish. Should you still have an appetite, the vegan marionberry cheesecake ($4.50) is the dessert many vegans would lay down their lives for. (SS)
