Rose-directed clip for Mines standout "Taos" takes the reconfigured band—can we call it Menomena 2.0 yet?—on a journey to a wrestling ring, where a smattering of costume-clad women live out all their fantasies for multi-instrumentalist Justin Harris. Basically, Harris gets humiliated, but there's a twist that's too good to spoil here. Rose has directed quite a few videos for Portland bands, but nothing is as weird, colorful and flush with notable Portland musicians (Dave Depper! Emily Katz! Benjamin Weikel!) as this one. Plus, it's just really fun to watch Joe Haege act—the man knows how to make a goofy face, proving that his spot in 2010 indie How the Fire Fell was no joke. The only question: Who is the Black Swan!?!
