Sorry, Vancouver. Tough luck, Little Beirut.
Donald Trump isn't visiting on Saturday after all.
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee has canceled a planned May 7 appearance in Vancouver, Wash., after failing to find an available venue.
Since Trump told Clark County Republicans two weeks ago that he hoped to stop by the 'Couv on a Pacific Northwest campaign jaunt, his campaign has been searching for a rally location—even saying they'd consider Portland proper.
But Sen. Don Benton (R-Mount Vista), who serves as Trump's Washington campaign chair, tells The Oregonian that Trump won't make a stop anywhere in the Portland-Vancouver area Saturday.
An official at the Clark County Republican Party office confirms to WW that Trump's campaign called off the event because it couldn't find a venue. The campaign told the Clark County GOP that Trump may return between now and Washington's May 24 Republican primary.
The upshot: Trump's rally in Eugene tomorrow is going to be yuuuuuuuuuuuuge. Don't bring guns.
