Oregon got a lot of ink for being the first state to pass a gun control measure following the killing of 17 people in Florida school shooting last month but a national ranking by the personal finance website WalletHub found Oregon is pretty average in gun terms.

WalletHub took a look at the economic impact of guns—who makes them, who sells them and who owns them.

Oregon earned middling scores: 23rd in gun prevalence, 26th in economic impact and 37th in "gun politics," a ranking derived from a number of indicators explained here.
