Stimson Lumber Jumps Into House Races

One the state's most politically active companies, Portland-based Stimson Lumber, is adding to the Oregon House Republicans already strong fundraising efforts.

Stimson, which is privately held, pumped more than $500,000 into GOP gubernatorial candidate Chris Dudley's campaign last year. Now, CEO Andrew Miller has written a $100,000 check to the Oregon Transformation Project PAC, which is run by GOP political consultant Rob Kremer. Kremer's PAC then turned around and wrote $75,000 worth of checks to nine GOP House candidates late last week.
