You Can Be in the New Chloe Sevigny Film Shooting in Portland

Hang out at Portland Meadows for local author Willy Vlautin's "Lean on Pete" film adaptation.

The film version of Portland author Willy Vlautin's Oregon Book Award-winning novel Lean on Pete is in need of extras.

The book, set in part at Portland Meadows racetrack and tells the story of a boy and his horse, stars Chloe Sevigny as a jockey and Steve Buscemi as a trainer.

On Friday, September 2nd, they're shooting a big horse racing scene at Portland Meadows—where parts of the book take place—and need background extras. The job pays $78/day (based on 8 hours), and there will be catering and craft services, according to a local media coordinator who's working on the film.

Yesterday's Craigslist post calling for extras is now deleted, but the still-live public Facebook post reads: "If you are interested in this opportunity, please email me your name, cell number, a headshot photo of you (a selfie is fine) to loppdxcasting@gmail.com. Feel free to spread the word to your friends and family!"

The film is slated for release in 2017.
