Four Places to Watch the Second Clinton-Trump Debate

If you liked the first one....

The second presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump is almost upon us, with Anderson Cooper and Martha Raddatz hosting at Washington University in St. Louis. Just like the first one, it will be screened at a number of Portland venues. Here are four of them:

1. Black Water Bar

(Thomas Teal) (Thomas Teal)

Presented by the Hollywood Theater, this Hecklevision edition of the debate allows viewers to type insults on their phones and send them to the screen. To sweeten the deal, several comedians will be at the screening, including Alex Falcone, Laci Day and Riley Fox.

835 NE Broadway St. Doors open at 5 pm. $6.

2. Dig a Pony

(Vivian Johnson) (Vivian Johnson)

What's this? Free ice cream? From Salt & Straw? Maybe Clinton and Trump should debate more often…just kidding. Thank god this is over in a month. This watch party is hosted by the Bus Project and Basic Rights Oregon.

736 SE Grand Ave. Doors open at 5 pm. Free.

3. Bazi Bierbrasserie

(Hilary Sander) (Hilary Sander)

Get ready for an all-Sunday happy hour with food and drink specials. Bazi has been packed for the other debates, so they're encouraging people to make a reservation online to be sure to get a spot.

1522 SE 32nd Ave. 6 pm. Free.

4. The Laurelhurst Theater

American politics haven't been particularly spirit-lifting lately, so the cozy Laurelhurst might be a good place to hunker down and face the evening with pizza and cookies from the New Deal Cafe, the theater's sister restaurant.

2735 E Burnside St. Doors open at 5 pm. Free. 21 and over.
