Sellwood cheesesteakery Philadelphia's has been quietly brewing for more than 20 years. In 2011, owner Steve Moore brought on brewer David Vohden and in the following years expanded the brewery, which was rebranded as 13 Virtues. In 2014, people who'd forgotten about it took notice when it brought home a silver medal from the Great American Beer Fest for Woozy Weizenbock. It's now pouring 23 house brews at any given time, including a perfectly balanced Pilsner called Milwaukie's Better and a whiskey barrel-aged ass-kicker called Jean-Claude Van Damn. Try those while you can, because Vohden is leaving for Oregon City Brewing.

Drink This: The bold, toasty dark German lager Say Dunkel! This is the perfect time of year for a dunkel, and it will pair well with a cheesesteak.
