Chehalem Valley

If you live in Newberg and you've just finished up a softball game, Chehalem Valley Brewing is a nice place to find yourself. You can catch the (insert your favorite sport, game or match) on one of the many flat screens, and the menu of quintessential American pub grub includes both Reubens and fish tacos. Some of the beers, however, are just too safe. If you closed your eyes, you'd be hard-pressed to distinguish the Bald Peak Black Ale from the Hazelnut Brown Ale. Stick with the floral and fruity Broken Bottle IPA, if possible on a warm summer night when the wall of garage doors rolls up and the regulars trot out their family dogs.

Drink This: The Broken Bottle IPA was one of Chehalem Valley's first beers, and it remains one of its best.
