Herbalist Farmer

45 NE 122nd Ave., 503-252-9088, herbalistfarmer.com. 9 am-9 pm daily.

With a bare-bones waiting room that looks out to the shopping area through a glass door, this shop feels like the food-cart version of a medical dispensary. It has all the typical choices, but don't think of this as a full dispensary experience—it's more like a legal version of the recently banned drive-thru dispensary. However, it's nice to have options next to a MAX stop on the way into town or home from work. Bring cash and thank the area's charitable organizations for the clean property—a group was there with brooms and dustpans on our visit.

Tyler Hurst

An alleged Twitter legend, Tyler Hurst is trying to figure out if he’s most like the blue, red, or green shell. He's worked with Seth Godin on the Domino Project, written for contact/kontakt, hosted the podcast StorytellersAZ, given a TEDxPhoenixSalon speech, produced CenPhoCamp, co-produced PodCamp and TechPhx, served as founding editor for the Downtown Phoenix Journal and Scottsdale Downtowner, and wrote a book called HipCider. He currently writes for WW, Potlander, and Thrillist.

Willamette Week’s reporting has concrete impacts that change laws, force action from civic leaders, and drive compromised politicians from public office.
