If You’re Getting People Nice Gifts, Give Them In Nice Wrapping Paper, Bows, Bags and Boxes

Take 30% off of Hallmark giftwrap and accessories. Also, get Amazon Echo Dots for $30 (still), take $30 off of a gigantic 4 TB portable hard drive and get an 8-cup French press from Bodum in classy stainless steel for $25.

Back in October, I constantly harped on about getting Halloween candy online because it’s cheap there and because it saves you a harried last minute trip to the store. In December, I’m doing the same with giftwrap: Get it now, you fools, and don’t rush out to Target on Christmas Eve because you left it to the last minute!

Take 30% off giftwrap, bows, cards and other accessories from Hallmark through the end of the day

Though the dollar store is traditionally the best place to cop all of your holiday giftwrap needs, Amazon drives a hard bargain in the affordability category, made all the better by not having to leave your apartment to pick it up. Through the end of the day, Amazon’s hosting a 30% off sale from Hallmark on just about every gift-giving accessory you can think of, from wrap, to cards to bottle bags and more. I like this gold wrap ($6.30/25 ft) for especially fancy gifts, but the triple pack rolls ($8.75/3 x 20 ft rolls) should set anyone up for the whole season.

Amazon Echo Dots are still only $30

We got a guy who just got an Echo, so expect more smart home content in the coming months. (Amazon)

If you haven’t yet checked out Pete’s smart home stuff, do so (here and here) and learn how his Echo Dot brought his apartment into the 21st century. For some reason, Amazon’s still got their Echo Dot’s—a mini-bluetooth speaker which lets you command all kinds of things by voice using Amazon’s Alexa assistant—at their Black Friday pricing of $30 (down from $50).

Also, the Echo Dot+Fire TV stick deal which Pete used to kick of his smart home is down to $60 (from $90) today. It isn’t the lowest it’s been, but its still cheaper than the $70 that Pete paid for it!

A timeless companion to both breakfast and a midday cup, Bodum’s 8 cup French press with a stainless steel finish is nicely down to $25 from it’s ususual $38. We keep one around in our apartment as a backup in case our percolator craps out or in case we’re travelling to a coffee-uncertain destination, but a big French press is also perfect as a primary brewer, and it makes for the perfect new-apartment gift, as well.

Get a 4 terabyte portable hard drive from Seagate for $100, down from $130

Four terabytes of storage is a shitload of storage, but some of you computer weirdos need it for all of your anime and whathaveyou. Seagate’s big old 4 TB portable hard drive should be enough to cover just about every non-government database level of information storage, and product review website Wirecutter picks it as their favorite portable drive for those who need a gigantic amount of space. Take a cool $30 off of it for now.
