Across the back patio of Church bar and behind a Mary Iverson mural of Day-Glo shipping containers, you come across Allport Editions, which propagates the art of the greeting card. Nearly 40 years after Ardys Allport began reproducing gallery works from her Bay Area garage, the company is now here in Portland, annually distributing more than a million cards fitting every occasion—the most beloved of which are available in this bustling warehouse shop.

Our readers rely on our comprehensive news reporting. However, COVID-19
