Founded in 1985, Teatro Milagro is a destination in the Pacific Northwest for bilingual performances inspired by Latino culture and experiences. Recent shows include The Mermaid Hour by David Valdes Greenwood, a journey of identity through the story of Violet, a 12-year-old transgender girl, and Watsonville: Some Place Not Here, which centers on a group of Mexican cannery workers in a 1990s California town.

Willamette Week’s reporting has real-life impact that changes laws, forces action by civic leaders, and drives compromised politicians from public office.
