On Nov. 12-14, the Red Lion on the River saw Atlantean ambassadors, astronauts, wizards and others reading and writing tales, wearing mermaid tails, watching sparking Tesla coils and whirling around an evening masquerade. The fan-run science fiction and fantasy convention has skipped only one year since its creation in 1979, but the con is taking 2022 off—returning in full alchemic force in 2023.
