Oregon GOP Delegation Compares "Crooked Hillary" to John Kitzhaber

"The place where Nike made ducks and beavers cool" casts its votes for Donald Trump.

The Republican Party crowned Donald J. Trump as its nominee last night in Cleveland, with a little help from Oregon's 28 delegates.

The Oregon delegation to the National Republican Convention cast 18 of their 28 votes on the first ballot for Trump (with another six to Sen. Ted Cruz).

They also got in a dig at an old nemesis: former Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber.

Oregon Republican Party Chair Bill Currier pledged Oregon's votes to Trump. His speech featured wine, soccer and Tillamook cheese—and Kitzhaber, who Currier compared to "Crooked Hillary."

(That would be presumptive Democratic Party nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton, for those of you who do not keep track of Trumpian nicknames.)

Here's video of Currier's speech. Fast-forward to the 1 hour, 26 minute mark to get to Oregon.

Here's the transcript.

Correction: This item originally misidentified Bill Currier as Rep. Bill Post (R-Keizer). WW regrets the error.
