It’s the Last Day to Register to Vote in the May Primaries

Procrastinators, you're on notice.

Procrastinators, you're on notice: There are only a few more hours to register to vote in the May primary election.

It's also the last day to change party affiliation if you're interested in voting in one of the party primaries.

Get your voter registration card in the mail or register online today, or you won't have a chance to weigh in on a contentious city council race, a three-way Democratic tussle for a state senate seat (if you live in East Portland), and a number of other contested offices this cycle.

If you must wait to the last possible minute – and you have an Oregon ID issued by the DMV – you can register online until 11:59 p.m. tonight.

You can also register by getting your registration form postmarked today. Or you can register in person at the Multnomah County Duniway-Lovejoy Elections Building on SE Morrison Street, before it closes at 7 p.m.

If you make the registration deadline, you will be mailed a ballot, which is due on May 15. No late submissions accepted.

Ballots start going out tomorrow, and WW's endorsements will be in tomorrow's paper and online.
