Who knows where they're keeping the bad dogs at this sausage store? Every sausage, from the garlic chicken ($5) to the mild Italian ($4.85) or even the ferociously hot (and aptly named) magma dog ($4.95), begs to be slathered in fried onions and cheese before being promptly swallowed. When the counter guys stray from the dog, however, the results are mixed, as the seasonal chili ($4.95) can fall victim to an inedibly tough bread bowl. The chili itself ($2.50-$3.25) is a gamble, potentially tasty when laden with chunks of sausage, less so when it's not. The difference makes you wish they'd put sausage chunks in everything, including the soda. OK, maybe not that. (MB)
