Skip to main contentOpera Theater Oregon has produced a novel tie-in for its latest reinterpretation of a classic opera. The company teamed up with Dan Schaefer, a local animator and comic and storyboard artist whose credits include Teen Age Mutant Ninja Turtles and Batman, to create a companion comic book for Out of Eden, OTO's upcoming adaptation of Werther, "in the style of '50s True Confessions-style comics" according to OTO director Katie Taylor. "We'll be selling it at the show," she wrote in an email, "and it will be online for the week prior, with links from the various panels to mp3s of the music that is going on in that part of the story."
