Portland School Board Member Dilafruz Williams Not Running for Re-election

A second incumbent on Portland Public Schools' board of directors has decided against running for re-election this May.

Dilafruz Williams, who was elected to the board in 2003, announced today she won't seek a third term. She joins current board member David Wynde in declining to run for re-election. Two other board members up for re-election on the May ballot—Bobbie Regan and Ruth Adkins—have filed to run this May.

The only candidate so far for the southeast Portland district represented by Williams is Greg Belisle (PDF), a program manager for Impact Northwest. Here's Williams' announcement:
