Former Massachusetts Gov. (don't remind him) Mitt Romney comes to Portland Oct. 14 for a breakfast fundraiser at the Governor Hotel. You have three choices: $2,500 for a photo; $500 for a glimpse of the GOP candidate; or, staying home and eating Cheerios. The last one's free.

The invitation (PDF) probably will not be Portlanders' only chance to hob-nob with a leading presidential candidate, but it's the best one you'll get until President Obama starts to panic.
