Check this shit out: Doughnuts with breakfast cereal affixed to the icing on top at Fred Meyer! Haha! Weird, right?! It's some sort of crazy fusion of disparate breakfast foodstuffs that, aside from the deliciousness-related implications, also functions as a brilliantly parodic statement about the entire genre of distinct morning foodstuffs, a mysterious and uniquely Western phenomenon...
...what's that you say, someone else already did it? Is famous for doing it, even?
Waaaaait. Now that you mention it, I think I have seen this before. Yes, that's right, at Voodoo Doughnut. The Portland institution. Possibly the most famous food-seller in the state of Oregon.
Oh, hmmm, well, in that case this is almost kinda offensive.
I guess there's no way to stop Fred Meyer from putting Froot Rings, Choco Crispys or Sgt. Snap cereal on top of a regular ol' grocery store doughnut, but I also don't think it's a coincidence this batch was left over at 7 pm while the rest of the case was nearly empty.
This is a very bad idea indeed.
