Video: Jason Urick "Ageless Isms"

Now that renowned experimentalist Jason Urick is living in Portland, it makes perfect sense that he has connected with Ashby Lee Collinson, one of the creative minds behind the cable access show Experimental Half Hour and who is working with modular synth wizard Pulse Emitter on a project called Princess Dies. The two have collaborated on an incredible video for a track from Urick's upcoming album I Love You (out on Thrill Jockey on Jan. 24).

As you'll see from the clip, it is as otherworldly and intoxicating as Urick's music. The natural world has never looked as foreboding and unusual as it does through Collinson's lens and soundtracked with what sounds like a mixture of extraterrestrial broadcasts fusing with shortwave radio stations from the Far East.
