For four consecutive Saturdays, starting Aug. 23 and ending Sept. 13, head to Southeast 82nd Avenue for the Jade District Night Market, featuring Asian music, food, crafts and children’s games. Portland brims with young professionals looking to make it in the beauty scene. They strut out of beauty schools, like Paul Mitchell or Aveda, with perfectly shaped eyebrows and all-black attire. While they vie for your apparent grow-out and fibrous eyebrows, look no farther than Vivid Chromatics. Aryka Chrupalo, a graduate of Aveda and owner of Vivid Chromatics, opened her salon last February. For the month of August, she's giving a free deep conditioning with any cut and color.
