Tomboy Wedding with Wildfang

Wedding season is almost upon us. On Sunday, May 10, androgynous online retailer Wildfang is starting it with a wedding-themed trunk show at its flagship store on Southeast Grand Avenue. 

It might seem simple: What does a tomboy wear to an acquaintance's bridal shower, a sister's engagement party, a parent's re-re-remarrige? This pant-suit or that pant-suit?

Not so with the duo behind Wildfang (a German word that translates as "tomboy" or "wild thing"). Julia Parsley and Emma McIlroy, who go by Irish and Fox, call themselves the modern, female Robin Hoods of fashion. They stock over 30 brands-worth of button-downs, graphic tanks and trouser pants. 

Wildfang's trunk show is featuring New York-based shop Jachs, known for its classic prep style, and tie brand Natural Born Elegance. The lookbooks promise more blazers, yes. But they're in softer pinks and plaids for this season, and cheaper since spring arrivals will be 25-percent off at the event.  

Added bonus: learn how to tie a bow tie while drinking the free PBR. So classy.
