The Jumbo Burger at Helvetia might just be Hillsboro's top tourist attraction. Out past the farms that would be condos but for the urban growth boundary, through the old trestle bridge, this old roadhouse sits surrounded by misty green farmland. Inside a woody room, Helvetia serves beers, buckets of steaming fries, crispy rings and a burger that is essentially a super-sized, premium-quality version of the Big Mac. A bistro burger this is not—it hits all the same notes as a McMeal, but on a scale that would make both Ray Kroc and Morgan Spurlock blush.
