Prepare Yourself—Tickets For Portland’s “Hamilton” Shows Go On Sale This Week

"Hamilton" tickets are notoriously hard to get, so you better be ready.

There's still another four months before the most successful Broadway musical of all time comes to Portland, but you can get your tickets for Hamilton this Friday at 10 am.

But if you're hoping see Lin-Manuel Miranda's hip hop and rap retelling of the founding of America, you better have a tab of the box office open and ready on your browser. Hamilton tickets are know for being ridiculously hard to get and typical sell out immediately. Tickets for the Portland show were available to season ticket holders earlier this year, and those tickets have already shown up on resale sites for over $3,000.

But if you're lucky enough to get tickets from the primary seller, they'll cost $80-$175. If you're feeling extra lucky, there'll be a lottery for $10 tickets for each performance. Only 40 lottery tickets are available for each show and unsurprisingly, the lottery site has been known to crash.

Hamilton's first tour started in early 2017. The Portland stop on the tour is at the Keller Auditorium from March 20 through April 8.

Tickets will be available on Broadway In Portland's website, at Portland 5's box office or at 800-273-1530. Godspeed.
