Hey, another reason to move here! We're catching 'em all.

Internet trend analysis site Internet Service Partners, used data from Google Trends to name Oregon as the no. 1 state that is most interested in Pokémon Go. They also ranked U.S. cities by Pokémon Go interest—and Portland comes in at no. 10. This isn't surprising. We've got Poké-bar crawls and some of the city's best patio bars that double as Pokéstops. Detroit is actually no. 1, which sounds a little like playing Pokemon on Division street.

The site paired Google Trends research with Census data, to connect obesity levels and the age of each state's population—considering 60 percent of Pokémon Go users are 18-24 and the game requires physical activity. There's a slight trend towards western states showing more interest in the game, as well as being more physically active: Oregon is the second most physically active state, with 44 percent Millennial—which doubles almost every other state in the top 10. Physical activity only accounts for so much though, as the top 10 also includes some of the least physically active states in the country.

What's more interesting to note, is the most sought-after Pokemon in each state. Something about Michigan favoring a ghostly, toothy-grinned Gengar just makes sense. And a tiny lap dog-ferret creature called Eevee is surprising for giant Texas. And the most sought-after Pokemon in Oregon? The turtle-seal water Pokemon Lapras. Chill.
