Good news for Portlanders who are looking to blow off some steam—which, right now, is probably most of us. Today, Oaks Park Roller Rink reopened to the public.

The historic rink has been closed due to the pandemic since March. This summer was the first amusement park season that the rink has missed in its 115-year history. Previously, Oaks Park announced it did not plan to open at all this year.

But last week, Gov. Kate Brown announced that bowling alleys and skating rinks could resume operation in Phase 1 counties.

Oaks Park was quick to transition. Less than two weeks after Brown's executive order, the rink is now open with limited hours, capped capacity and timed entry. Only 45 patrons will be allowed in the rink during each of the two-hour time slots. Of course, masks are required.

Tickets are only available for purchase in advance. You can get them here.
