Orville Peck is a mysterious baritone wonder whose music is equal parts haunting and mesmerizing, but Peck, the man behind the tasseled mask, is hilarious, personable, warm and devastatingly foxy. To witness such a charismatic performer is one of the few perks of surviving this fuck-ass timeline. PARTY: New Room Studios Artist Showcase

HEAR: Candlelight Tribute to Tool
Candlelight Concerts rehash popular tunes as string arrangements amid twinkling candlelight. As it pertains to Tool? The quartet intends to do the classical equivalent of shredding through the high points of the hardcore band’s repertoire, which low key feels like a quintessential Portland family night out. PHOTOBOMB: Pet Portrait Day
Fun fact: One does not actually need a pet to participate in 4th Ave Studio’s Pet Portrait Day. The studio will not only be snapping iconic images of humans with their beloved animal companions; it will also feature an ambassador menagerie for petless animal aficionados to have their portraits taken with. Admission charge covers one portrait. LAUGH: Speculation Proposition
Hosted by former WW Funniest 5 winner Ally J. Ward, Speculation Proposition is a live show featuring comedians presenting their “completely real” (i.e., entirely invented) conspiracy theories. Touted as a “night of wisdom, insight, and truth-seeking,” the show might just be the bit of bullshit you need to escape the 24-hour news cycle. Featuring Lee H. HELP OUT: PDX Free Market
In the interest of both community building and low-stakes mutual aid, PDX Free Market comes to Northeast Portland’s Albina library branch for an afternoon of sharing, finding treasures and scoring necessities that might have otherwise been donated. Participants are not required to bring items, but folks who do must abide by the vendor’s code and be prepared to pack out any of their leftovers. Regardless, expect a bounty.
