Sharon Nasset Backers Take One Final Shot at House Speaker Tina Kotek

Gas station sign captures tenor of low-budget insurgent campaign.

The battle between House Speaker Tina Kotek (D-North Portland) and challenger Sharron Nasset for House District 44 will be over tonight, probably by 8:01 or so, as Nasset has not been able to fund a serious challenge to the five-term incumbent.

The long odds against Nasset didn't stop Nasset supporters from taking one last whack at Kotek on a gas station sign at the corner of North Lombard Street and Portsmouth Avenue.
