The battle between House Speaker Tina Kotek (D-North Portland) and challenger Sharron Nasset for House District 44 will be over tonight, probably by 8:01 or so, as Nasset has not been able to fund a serious challenge to the five-term incumbent.
The long odds against Nasset didn't stop Nasset supporters from taking one last whack at Kotek on a gas station sign at the corner of North Lombard Street and Portsmouth Avenue.
As WW reported earlier, a shadowy group of activists have been working hard to confuse voters in the district.
This time, they settled for a simple message: FUTK.
