Eileen Brady Endorses Chloe Eudaly

Meanwhile, Steve Novick collects a check from the PAC of Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.)

We're five weeks from Election Day, and Portland Commissioner Steve Novick and opponent Chloe Eudaly are showing their stamina.

This week, Eudaly announced she'd collected endorsements from Eileen Brady, a 2012 candidate for Portland mayor; Nichole Maher, executive director of the Northwest Health Foundation and a prominent member of Portland's Native American community; and Cameron Whitten, an Occupy Portland activist who rose through the ranks of Portland's political scene to become the head of the Know Your City nonprofit.

Meanwhile, Novick has 10 times as much money as Eudaly, with $110,000 in the bank. Last week he collected another $2,500 from the PAC that belongs to U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.).

One union that won't be making an endorsement in the City Council race is the Portland Association of Teachers. The teacher's union, and its significant army of door knockers, is staying neutral.
