Watch a Bald Eagle Get Released Into the Wild at Waterfront Park

Fly free, lady eagle!

On Feb. 10, the Audubon Society of Portland rescued a bald eagle that was trying to eat a duck caught in fishing line and got stuck herself. After rehabbing the eagle, they released her back into the wild at Waterfront Park in downtown Portland. Add to your list of reasons to love Portland: bald eagles downtown.

Watch the video and imagine yourself as a majestic bald eagle, flying free. RIP, duck, though. And now that the bald eagle is free, we can bet a few more ducks won't make it either. That, my friends, is the circle of life.
