There's a good reason this sunny corner diner has a crowd waiting outside the door every weekend morning, and it has nothing to do with blog hype, giant Bloody Marys or vegan "eggs" "Benedict." Nah, the food at Zell's is just good, and cheap. The fantastic corned beef hash (the moist corned beef is made in-house) fills a large plate for $7.95; a stack of five massive pancakes is $7.75. But the real treats are on the constantly changing specials board that takes up much of one wall.
