Beau Breedlove, Former Sam Adams Paramour, Publishing New Memoir

Musings on a Young Life is out June 30.

Beau Breedlove wants us to have the whole story—like, all of it.

Breedlove is an influential figure in a certain regard. He is, of course, best known for the scandal that very nearly unseated former Portland Mayor Sam Adams at the beginning of his term in 2009—and all but ensured his status as a one-term mayor, clearing the way for the campaign of current mayor Charlie Hales. But in the meantime Breedlove has posed nude for Unzipped and both opened and closed a "French dance cafe" called Vie on the South Waterfront.

The self-published autobiography will be for sale on Amazon starting June 30. Alongside "private glimpses behind the Adams-Breedlove scandal of 2009," the jacket copy promises that it will not neglect Breedlove's formative years as a young boy in Salem, his "rise as a self-taught concert pianist and entrepreneur," and "various personal relationships."

"Through wit, humor, and sincerity," promise the marketing materials, "the author insists on sharing life lessons, and proving the triumph of hope and love over all tribulations."
