Sellwood's most eccentric museum is the lifelong dream of an industry veteran. Every inch is crammed with marionettes, dummies and puppets that Steven Overton, the museum's founder, encountered over his decades as the creator of everything from a root beer mascot named Barqy to figures for Disney World's live action Hunchback of Notre Dame. Overton's labors of love are best appreciated at an original PPM performance or puppet-building workshop.

Willamette Week’s reporting has real-life impact that changes laws, forces action by civic leaders, and drives compromised politicians from public office.
