Update 2: We're wrong, according to a PYRAMID publicist. "The band has NOT signed with the Rough Trade the label. The stores are simply stocking the 7" as an exclusive deluxe version. Rough Trade shops are separately owned and controlled. "Medicine"is coming out as a self release by the band's own imprint, DDD."
***I just got word from my good friend/Portland music obsessive Nick Johnson that PYRAMID has signed to Rough Trade Records in the UK, and the label—one of indie rock's most respected imports—is releasing a special 7-inch for the song "Medicine" just in time for the band's trip across the pond. Could this be the "favorite label" Josh Hodges told Casey about a few weeks ago? Here's the link to the Rough Trade shop, which says the song "sounds like a mix of Pet Shop Boys, Saint Etienne and late 70's Vienna Fairground at Christmas." Right on!***Link:
