Portland Garment Factory co-owner Brit Howard is busy. In between running a world-class high fashion brand and putting together one-of-a-kind pieces for mass production at companies like Nike and Adidas, she also tours around meetings with clients and the media.
Poised to be everything American Apparel could dream of being, Howard started her factory to help local and national fashion companies produce their pieces locally. While the company evolved to producing goods that were shipped all over the world, it was still missing something.
Portland Garment Factoryâs Houseline brought the company into the spotlight. Combining high-fashion elements and styles that veer away from passing trends in favor of more classic looks, Howard's team uses vision boards to piece together ideas and color palettes that fit with the company's upcoming lines.
