This historically registered theater opened in 1927, going on to host grand premieres of locally filmed flicks like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest in 1975 and My Own Private Idaho in 1991. When McMenamins took over, a renovation brought in a bigger screen and better sound system, while retaining the ornate Middle Eastern motifs in the exotically designed interiors.
