Portland Trail Blazers’ Carmelo Anthony Gifted a Single Mom in Maryland With a New Car

The Portland Trail Blazers' newest player, Carmelo Anthony, has a penchant for philanthropy.

On Wednesday, Anthony gifted a single mother in Baltimore, Maryland, with a new car, Baltimore's WMAR-2 News station first reported.

Anthony, who went to high school in Baltimore, partnered with new online car buying outlet Gettacar to present Shalita Addison with a 2017 Mazda CX3.

Addison told WMAR-2 that her old, 1997 Honda Accord broke down nearly daily, making her late to work, appointments and her daughter's basketball games.
